Boduberu (Dhivehi n.) directly translates to “Big Drums” is an authentic cultural music genre performed by a group of singers, drummers and dances. Rooted from East Africa and India, this high energy performance invites everyone to sing-along, clap and dance to the beats as they feel.

A Rahvehi Special: Harunulaa

Oaga’s Rahvehinn (island dwellers / staff) come together every week as the Harunulaa Boduberu Group bringing their homegrown roots from different parts of the country, to share Maldivian nativity beyond the ocean borders. Featuring artists from Hoara X, Vibe, Housekeeping, Transport, Front Office & more, this team of guys tremble the fine sandy roads of the island.

How frequent are Boduberu Nights?

Boduberu Nights are scheduled at-least once a week. In circumstances if the full Boduberu team cannot perform, it is substituted with Boduberu Fusion. Usually takes place on Boadha Budha (Ancient Wednesdays).
