Raai

Head of Art & Vibes

“Even in my darkest days, I will still dance. I can’t stand still for too many days.. I need to follow where my body leads me.”
Raai is the creative spirit behind Oaga Art Resort, shaping the vision that has grown into the artistic island it is today. After years of studying and honing his craft in New Zealand, he returned home with a purpose—to create a resort where Maldivian art, culture, and hospitality could thrive together.
As the Head of Suvāsthi, while leading many of Oaga's design, creative, and operational functions, Raai helps shape every chapter of the guest journey. From the spaces you wander through to the stories you uncover and the moments you take home, his vision is woven into the rhythm of everyday life on the island.
Leaving behind a career abroad, Raai chose to invest his passion in the Maldives, creating an ever-evolving home for Maldivian artists, makers, and storytellers. Through Oaga, he continues to nurture a community where local creativity flourishes and finds its place on the international stage.
Raai

Movement & Theatre

You might spot Raai on stage, moving with the music, lifting every performance with his energy, and bringing a theatrical touch to every moment. Yet his most celebrated role is behind Samaasaa Theatrical Dining—the Maldives’ exclusive theatrical dining experience.
As the writer, director, and performer behind Samaasaa, Raai has created a one-of-a-kind journey where theatre, storytelling, culinary artistry, and fine dining come together. Guests don’t simply watch the performance—they become part of it, sharing an evening where every course, every scene, and every interaction unfolds as one unforgettable story.
