Hailing from Nolhivaranfaru in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Hussain Adnan or Ted’s love for visual storytelling began in Malé, where he spent hours filming on a toy camera without really knowing where it would lead. Seventeen years into professional videography, he is now a self-taught creative with a distinct signature behind the lens. A watercolour artist since his school days, Ted’s understanding of colour has become an important part of his approach to cinematography. His early years at Ahmed Fahud Studio, working alongside his guru’s production team, opened the door to the endless possibilities of visual content and helped shape the filmmaker he is today.
