Fauzaan

Watersports Instructor at Hoara X Centre

Ibrahim Fauzaan Faisal, better known around Oaga as Fauzaan, has been chasing music since he was young. His singing journey began in primary school, where he took part in school singing competitions and quickly discovered that music was more than just a hobby. Influenced by Maldivian singers and songwriters such as Meyna Hassan and E-Sa, Fauzaan has developed a sound of his own, while his love for Mukhthar Adam is perhaps impossible to miss. In fact, he is known for spamming Mukhthar’s music around the island until everyone else knows the songs too.
Fauzaan

Founder of Harunulaa Boduberu

When he isn’t singing, you’ll probably find Fauzaan somewhere out at sea. As a Watersports Instructor at Hoara X Centre, he spends more time fishing, riding a jetski or windsurfing than being seen around the resort. But back on land, he takes centre stage as the leader of Oaga’s in-house Boduberu team, Harunulaa. An exceptional boduberu drummer, Fauzaan brings powerful rhythm, precision and energy to every performance, keeping the beat moving with a natural command of the drum. He regularly joins Suvāsthi performances alongside Naffah and Amney, especially during Unethical Projection. And when he sings, there’s rarely a need for a microphone—his voice carries naturally across Oaga, with a resonance and pitch that makes sure you know Fauzaan is around, even when he’s out at sea.
