Zaain Ali Waheed (a.k.a Zaain)

“To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour. ” – William Blake

Zaain, a remarkable individual who initially entered the artistic realm as an intern, now having evolved she stands as a resident artist. From the earliest moments, when she could grasp a tool, she found comfort in expressing her creativity through drawings, adorning the walls of her home with the intricate tales of her imagination. Although the journey to becoming a professional artist was an unexpected one, it unfolded seamlessly after her arrival at Oaga.

Zaain’s artistic style is a testament to her fascination with the concept of flow, emphasizing the organic movement within pieces and favoring lines over block colours. Her work bears a distinctive geometric quality and often combines calligraphic strokes that are evocative of fantasy and reality to create her own style.

Drawing inspiration from the esteemed Artist Yoji Shinkawa, her artistic process involves an organic exploration of her desires and emotions. Although she initially approached art with a self directed focus the influence of admired artists and art movements such as art nouveau and sacred geometry patterns subtly found its way into her evolving style.

Fascinated by the expressive possibilities of calligraphy, she skilfully incorporates Copperplate and Batarde font elements in her calligraphy.. Her art is deeply personal, serving as a powerful conduit for her intense emotions. Whether capturing the essence of a fleeting moment or revisiting past joys, reflecting her profound connection to her own experiences.

Ultimately, her art reflects herself: a journey into her psyche and an exploration of the myriad emotions that shape her existence. Through her intricate lines and evocative strokes, Zaain invites viewers into a world where fantasy and reality coalesce, leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of Oaga Art Resort.
