Oaga Art Resort in Maldives Reopens It’s Doors, Introducing ‘Odi’ Water Villas just in time for Festive Season 2023

Oaga Art Resort has reopened its doors for bookings this October 2023, and is set to mesmerise visitors with a host of new features and enhancements. After a temporary closure in preparation, the resort is ready to welcome guests back with immersive art experiences promising an even more luxurious and authentic stay.

Over Water Stay

One of the most exciting new additions is the introduction of Odi Water Villas, which were inspired by the voyage of the first settlers to the Maldives called “Devis”. Shaped like an Odi (boat), these villas offer guests an intimate experience surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, featuring a hammock, large swimming pool and a semi open ensuite bath, with dark elegance combined with gold accents that remind of ancient royalty.

The resort has also opened Bodu Haruge Beach Villas, with angled walls and high ceilings similar to the traditional boatyards of Maldives, offering a unique escape into island life for families and couples alike.

Culinary Delights

Food enthusiasts will be delighted to explore the resort’s new restaurants and culinary options. With new venues such as Le’ Fuh Dan specialising in home-made Italian pizza and pasta, the authentic grill cart called Baa Badhige and High Tea at Jeymu Cafe’, the resort has introduced an array of delectable dishes and flavors with an ‘Oaga’ twist, to satisfy the most discerning palates. The menu of the main restaurant Kaa Kada also has new additions such as fresh broths & noodles from the Oriental Cart, Paellas and Risottos from the Seafood cart, smoothie bowls for brunch and Mexican food available after hours from the Midnight Munchies stall. As part of their sustainability approach, the culinary team focuses on cultivating delectable delights using readily available ingredients from the surrounding, minimising food waste in the process.

Rejuvenated Hoba Spa

The resort’s very own Hoba Spa now features a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy option for relaxation and rejuvenation. Hoba Spa’s hydrotherapy Fen Vadaa area is another special concept comprising of four parts; a rain shower adapted from the tropical rains of the rainy monsoon, a heated water bath reminiscent of a Vevu, the Dhumashige Sweat Lodge blending the idea of the traditional Dhumashige used in the Maldives to dry fish and the sweat lodges of South America, and finally a Valhu, or well, from which you bath yourself. Additionally, the spa now offers a special menu designed specifically for kids, ensuring that families can enjoy the ultimate pampering experience together.

Exciting Activities

To enhance the overall guest experience, the resort has introduced a range of new and revamped activities. Whether it’s Free Flow creative sessions at Suvāsthi Studio, Ollie’s petting farm, water sports, cultural excursions, or guided tours of the stunning Maldivian landscapes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. These activities have been carefully curated to offer guests a deeper connection with the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Maldives.

Oaga Art Resort invites travellers to book their stay and experience an authentic island life in Maldives. With its new accommodation options, culinary delights, spa facilities, and a wide range of activities, guests are promised an unforgettable escape that celebrates the beauty of the Maldives.
